ALOMA OF THE SOUTH SEAS (1941)

Paramount, lobby card. Primary asset to this South Seas saga, beside the resident Paramount sarong girl (born in Louisiana), Dorothy Lamour was the earthquake and eruption of a volcano. Dorothy was surrounded by white American actors playing the Polynesians in this one, including hunk Jon Hall, starlet Dona Drake, and character actress Esther Dale. Lynn Overman plays the non-native role in this scene. Film was made in Technicolor, though, surprisingly, the text on the card does not indicate this.
