39 STEPS, THE (1935)

Vintage original 6½ x 7½ (17 x 19 cm.) still photo, U. S. Robert Donat, Madeleine Carroll, dir: Alfred Hitchcock; Gaumont British. A rather risque moment in the story of two agents who are handcuffed and must stay together at all time, including spending the night together. Brilliant Hitchcock suspense story about a man accused of a murder who sets out to break a spy ring. The 39 steps refers to an organization of spies.
